Before configuring Scripting itself, there are some points of configuration that need to be taken within Genesys. These configuration changes allow the creation of the Scripting drawer within Workspace, provide the integration code required to allow Scripting and Workspace to communicate, and configure the specifics of how Workspace and Scripting will integrate in your environment.

 

There are a collection of integration files (the "IW Bundle") that need to be installed in your Genesys system to create the Scripting drawer itself within Workspace. The process of sourcing and installing these files is covered in the Integration Files article.

 

Genesys Administrator needs to be properly configured so that the Scripting drawer within Workspace actually contains the correct Scripting website, and the correct Workflow is popped when Workspace serves an interaction. It also allows some further points of configuration for specific systems, with all required and optional configuration described in the Genesys Administrator Configuration article.

 

 

Updating Scripting typically requires no specific reconfiguration within Genesys (although please review the Feature Release History and the Scripting Upgrade Best Practices articles), but should Workspace be updated then the installed IW Bundle will need to be replaced with the appropriate IW Bundle for the new version.
